Ethiopian Heirloom Yirgacheffe - Single Origin (12 oz)
A wild heirloom Arabica sourced from small-holder farmers in the Yirgacheffe region of Southern Ethiopia. This coffee was produced using a washed process that highlights the juicy acidity that the heirloom plants imparted to the hand-picked cherries before harvest. We are tasting complex notes of ripe peach, floral, and honey resulting from the high elevation (2100 MASL) growing conditions in the understory of the cloud forest featuring warm days and cool nights.
The Moonraker Crew is featuring this coffee as our first single-origin offering because Ethiopia is widely considered to be the birthplace of coffee! This washed process offering represents some of the best landrace beans we have sampled. So…sip stoked as you get after it, whether it’s crushing the day’s worklist or stomping a new line, this brew pairs well with those driven to keep grinding with style.
